According to the rules of the Swedish Athletics Federation, you can participate in half marathons and marathons from the year you turn 17.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n

\n

Ordinary registration for the marathon<\/a> and half marathon<\/a> closes on 9. august 2026<\/span>.\nLate registration opens on 12. august 2026<\/span> and closes no later than 23. august 2026<\/span>. \nYou can also register on site in Expo. You can collect your bib in Marathon-EXPO<\/a> on 28. august 2026<\/span> 14:00 - 19:00 or 29. august 2026<\/span> 7:00 - 9:00<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n

I haven’t paid the invoice, so I’m not registered, am I?<\/h3>\n

Yes, invoice is one of several payment methods and once you have made your registration, it is a completed registration regardless of the payment method. Registration is binding. How do I know that I am registered?<\/h3>\n
\n
\n

Once the registration is completed, you will be included in the Start List – J\u00f6nk\u00f6ping Marathon and Half Marathon<\/a>. You will see the confirmation on the screen immediately after registration and you will receive a confirmation e-mail as soon as you have paid. The confirmation also serves as a receipt. As soon as you have paid, you are registered and appear on the start list<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n

I have not received a notification?<\/h3>\n
\n
\n

When you register and pay, a registration confirmation will be sent out by email with a summary of all registered and any other purchases (t-shirt, cap) that were made at registration. Check the junk mail in case you can’t find it.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n

\n

I have received a gift card, how do I redeem it?<\/h3>\n
\n
\n

You register as usual and tick the distance and products you want. Then enter the code you received as a gift. Then the amount is deducted from the shopping cart. If it does not work, it is because the person who bought the gift card did not enter your email address at the time of purchase (the code only allows registration via the selected email address). If so, please email us at info@jonkopingmarathon.se<\/a> and we will add your address so that you can complete the registration.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n<\/div>\n

Can I sell my entry? (Name change)<\/h3>\n

\n

If you can not participate, you can change the name of your starting place, latest 9. august 2026<\/span>. You will have to find your own replacement. There is an administrative fee of 200<\/span> SEK. After this date it is no longer possible. It is NOT allowed to run with someone else’s bib. Disqualification will occur. \n<\/p>

I want to cancel my entry and have signed up for Startklar, how do I do that?<\/h3>\n

If you have taken out Startklart insurance and are ill or injured, go to www.startklar.nu<\/a> to find out how to make a claim.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n

I am registered and now wonder if it is possible to get the entry fee back if I get sick\/injured?<\/h3>\n
\n
\n

The only way to get your fee refunded is to subscribe to the Startklart cancellation cover. You will contact Startklar in such cases if damage or injury has occurred. As stated in the notification, it is not possible to transfer your entry to the following year.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n

Is it possible to change distance?<\/h3>\n
\n
\n

Distance change is possible latest 9. august 2026<\/span>. Administration fee 200<\/span> SEK will be added. After this date it is no longer possible.<\/p>\n

If you still wish to run a distance other than the one you are registered for, it is possible to buy a new entry as long as places are available.<\/p>\n

Has my name change\/transfer gone through?<\/h3>\n

If you have followed the instructions and provided us with the required information, you can easily see in the start list<\/a> if the change has been made.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n

I accidentally filled in the wrong estimated end time when registering, can I change this?<\/h3>\n
\n
\n

Don’t worry. When you arrive to the start you just place yourself in correct section of the start corridor. It is clearly marked out.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n<\/div>\n

Can I have the bib sent to me instead? <\/h3>\n
\n
\n

No. Everyone must pick up the bib at the bib distribution center in Marathon-EXPO<\/a>,\nor have a representative pick up the bib for you (presentation of both IDs required)<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n

Yes, if that person has your start certificate (start numbers are published on the website two weeks before the race, start list) your identification and his\/her own identification.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n

When do you send out information about the bib?<\/h3>\n
\n
\n

You can find the answer to the question on the participants tab. Bibs are not sent by post (environmental aspect). You pick up your bib at Marathon-EXPO<\/a>. Bring your ID.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n<\/div>\n

Can my friends follow me during the race?<\/h3>\n

Yes! via the results page “follow runners” you can follow the leaders of the race as well as specifically the desired person.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n

When will more detailed competition information be posted on the website?<\/h3>\n
\n
\n

You can find a lot already under the participants<\/a> tab. No later than four weeks before the race, more detailed race information will be posted on the website under the “participant information” tab. There you can read practical information about the race. Read also the Start-PM (published two weeks before the race).<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n

Why don’t you give exact time limits for the different starting groups?<\/h3>\n
\n
\n

The reason is that all starting groups should be equal in size. This minimises congestion and provides the best possible running experience. Before start all runners choose their starting group (based on estimated finish time). All runners start at the same time (fastest group first). The important thing is that you put yourself in the right starting group. Start groups are marked.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n

What is the start time for the races?<\/h3>\n
\n
\n

Both distances start at 10:00 . Come in good time. It is important that you get into the right starting group. Start groups are marked with finish time for marathon (not pace). So if you plan to finish half marathon in 2 hours, you place yourself in start group marked 4:00 (4 hours would it take to run marathon in your pace).<\/p>\n

What does maximum time mean?<\/h3>\n
\n
\n

If you run faster than the maximum time, you are guaranteed that officials and road closures will remain in place. But even if you run slower, you can still complete the race – but at your own risk and by following normal traffic rules.
