How do we collect our BIBs?

Each team gets 4 BIBs with a chip, one for each section e.g. 5000-1, 5000-2, 5000-3, 5000-4, where the number after the dash corresponds to the section. Note that it is important that you wear the right BIB on the right section otherwise the time is not registered. If a runner runs several sections, several number tags are put on (if I run section 3 and 4, I should have number tags 5000-3 and 5000-4 on me). All 4 bibs will be collected at the same time by the team captain in Expo. Bring your ID with you! If someone else than the team captain collects the bibs, the team captain’s ID is shown (possibly a picture of it).

What happens if we run in the wrong class?

Your result will not be valid. To change class, you need to register a class change at least 3 weeks before the race.

One of our team is ill and we have no replacement, can we still run?

Of course you can! You decide who in your team runs the extra section. The bibs will show which section it belongs to. That person simply has to wear two bibs.

Can I bring my own food to our corporate tent?

Of course! Enjoy a pizza or whatever you like in your tent after the performance.

Where are the relay zones located and how long are the sections?

Do we need a baton?

Baton is mandatory! The baton is given to the team when they collect their bibs and MUST be carried throughout the race and passed from one runner to the next. The baton must be kept visible throughout the race. Lost baton means disqualification. After the race, the baton is returned at the finish line.

How do I get my medal if I run section 1-3?

We want everyone to experience Sweden’s mightiest finish and at the same time avoid crowding. You need to get to the “Meeting point relay” which is at the beginning of the bridge. There you will be helped by an official who will let you in so you can run to the finish line with your team or by yourself.

What happens if a team member breaks the race?

Each section has a maximum time corresponding to approximately one quarter of the total maximum time (marathon 6 hours, half marathon 3 hours). If a runner breaks or for any other reason fails to make it to the transition area within the maximum time (calculated from the start), the next runner has the opportunity to start anyway. In this case, the runner will receive an extra baton from the staff in the transition area. Teams finishing the race in this way will not have a time recorded on race day but a few days later (due to extra administration). Both batons must be handed in at the finish area.

Half marathon:
transition zone 1 Liljeholmsparken (km 5.1) — max time 10:58
transition zone 2 Folkets Park Huskvarna (km 10) — max time 11:40
transition zone 3 beach volleyball court at Vätterstranden — max time 11:40 12:31

Marathon:
transition zone 1 Folkets Park Huskvarna (km 10) — max time 11:40
transition zone 2 Jönköpings Kanotklubb (km 20.5) — max time 13:10
transition zone 3 Undergången vid Vätterstranden (km 30) — max time 13:10 14:30

Where can we leave our bags?

Bags can be left in the start/finish area in the bag drop before the race from 7:30 to 9:20. We are not able to accept bags in the transition areas. You can always hand your bag to the teammate who gives you the baton and ask him/her to bring it to the finish area.

When is the award ceremony?

Award ceremony for the relay takes place directly after the ceremony for the Half Marathon (12:30) or Marathon (13:00)

What is the difference between a team competition and a relay?

In the team competition, a team consists of exactly 3 runners where each runner runs the full distance (half marathon or marathon) and each runner has an individual result recorded. The runners do not have to run the same distance either. In addition, members estimate their finish time at registration and the difference between the estimate and the actual results is calculated. The team with the smallest difference wins.

In Relay team consists of 2 to 4 runners, each running one or more sections of the distance (half marathon or marathon) and only the team’s name and result are shown in the results list (the runners’ names are not registered). The fastest team in each class (women, men, mixed, company) wins.
