30. august 2025End the season with a personal best. Jönköping 10K/5K offers a flat 5 km and 10 km course in central Jönköping. The race suits both elites and beginners.
Test run
Test run of the course
Every year, Jönköping Marathon invites you to a test run of the course, divided into two occasions. Along the course, water and sports drinks are served and at the finish line, a non-alcoholic beer awaits, just like on race day.
The first event, a test run of the half marathon course (roughly equivalent to the first half of the marathon course), is May 25th at 9:00. We meet at the parking lot at Spira and run about 21 km in 4 different speed groups (5:00, 5:30, 6:00 and 6:30 pace).
Event two, the test run of the second half of the marathon course, is June 8th at 9:00. We meet at the parking lot at Spira and run about 24 km with the possibility to drop out at 10 and 14 km or shorten to 20 km. We run in 4 different speed groups (5:00, 5:30, 6:00 and 6:30 pace)
Registration is not required but we appreciate if you indicate your presence via our facebook event so that we can plan better and be able to provide everyone with drinks during and after the session.

Volunteers for Jönköping Marathon & Half Marathon 2023!
Do you want to have as much fun as the runners who make it through one of Sweden’s biggest marathons and be part of the event? Then take the chance to volunteer during the Jönköping Marathon & Half Marathon on 30. august 2025!
We are looking for volunteers, paramedics and associations who want to contribute to the festival. We promise a fun experience, great fellowship and cheers!
Examples of tasks include standing along the course and making sure runners don’t run wrong, manning the hydration station or handing out products to runners after the finish.
We are also looking for volunteers for the afternoon/evening of 29. august 2025 when we organise the Mini Marathon (children’s race).

Registration
When does registration close?
Regular registration for the marathon and half marathon closes on 17. august 2025. Late registration opens subject to availability on 20. august 2025 and closes no later than 24. august 2025. First come, first served. Subject to availability, you can also register on site in Expon. You can pick up your bib in Marathon-EXPO on 29. august 2025 14:00 - 19:00 or 30. august 2025 7:00 - 9:00

What payment options do you have?
You can sign up or shop in the store and pay via the following options: SWISH, card payment, partial payment or invoice.
How much does it cost to register?
Marathon: 945 SEK
Half Marathon: 795 SEK
MINI Marathon (children’s race): 120 SEK
There will be one price increase in 2024 and two price increases in 2025 (ordinary enrollment period). There is an additional charge of 50 SEK for late registration.
I haven’t paid the invoice, so I’m not registered, am I?
Yes, invoice is one of several payment methods and once you have made your registration, it is a completed registration regardless of the payment method. Registration is binding. If the invoice is not paid, a reminder will be sent out.

How do I know that I am registered?
Once the registration is completed, you will be included in the Start List – Jönköping Marathon and Half Marathon. You will see the confirmation on the screen immediately after registration and you will receive a confirmation e-mail as soon as you have paid. The confirmation also serves as a receipt. As soon as you have paid, you are registered and appear on the start list
I have not received a notification?
When you register and pay, a registration confirmation will be sent out by email with a summary of all registered and any other purchases (t-shirt, cap) that were made at registration. Check the junk mail in case you can’t find it.
I have received a gift card, how do I redeem it?
You register as usual and tick the distance and products you want. Then enter the code you received as a gift. Then the amount is deducted from the shopping cart. If it does not work, it is because the person who bought the gift card did not enter your email address at the time of purchase (the code only allows registration via the selected email address). If so, please email us at info@jonkopingmarathon.se and we will add your address so that you can complete the registration.
Entry
Can I sell my entry? (Name change)
If you can not participate, you can change the name of your starting place, latest 17. august 2025. You will have to find your own replacement. There is an administrative fee of 150:-. After this date it is no longer possible. It is NOT allowed to run with someone else’s bib. Disqualification will occur.

I want to cancel my entry and have signed up for Startklar, how do I do that?
If you have taken out Startklart insurance and are ill or injured, go to www.startklar.nu to find out how to make a claim.
I am registered and now wonder if it is possible to get the entry fee back if I get sick/injured?
The only way to get your fee refunded is to subscribe to the Startklart cancellation cover. You will contact Startklar in such cases if damage or injury has occurred. As stated in the notification, it is not possible to transfer your entry to the following year.
Is it possible to change distance?
Distance change is possible latest 17. august 2025. Administration fee is charged. After this date it is no longer possible.
If you still wish to run a distance other than the one you are registered for, it is possible to buy a new entry as long as places are available.

Has my name change/transfer gone through?
If you have followed the instructions and provided us with the required information, you can easily see in the start list if the change has been made.
I accidentally filled in the wrong estimated end time when registering, can I change this?
Don’t worry. When you arrive to the start you just place yourself in correct section of the start corridor. It is clearly marked out.
Race bib
Can I have the bib sent to me instead?
No. Everyone must pick it up at the bib distribution in Marathon-EXPO, or have a representative pick up the bib for you (presentation of both IDs required)
Where and when can I pick up my bib?
Number bib distribution is in the Marathon-EXPO at the start/finish area.

Can someone else collect my bib?
Yes, if that person has your start certificate (start numbers are published on the website two weeks before the race, start list) your identification and his/her own identification.
When do you send out information about the bib?
You can find the answer to the question on the participants tab. Bibs are not sent by post (environmental aspect). You pick up your bib at Marathon-EXPO. Bring your ID.
Competition day
Can my friends follow me during the race?
Yes! via the results page “follow runners” you can follow the leaders of the race as well as specifically the desired person.
When will more detailed competition information be posted on the website?
You can find a lot already under the participants tab. No later than four weeks before the race, more detailed race information will be posted on the website under the “participant information” tab. There you can read practical information about the race. Read also the Start-PM (published two weeks before the race).
Why don’t you give exact time limits for the different starting groups?
The reason is that all starting groups should be equal in size. This minimises congestion and provides the best possible running experience. Before start all runners choose their starting group (based on estimated finish time). All runners start at the same time (fastest group first). The important thing is that you put yourself in the right starting group. Start groups are marked.
What is the start time for the races?
Both distances start at 10:00 . Come in good time. It is important that you get into the right starting group. Start groups are marked with finish time for marathon (not pace). So if you plan to finish half marathon in 2 hours, you place yourself in start group marked 4:00 (4 hours would it take to run marathon in your pace).

What does maximum time mean?
If you run faster than the maximum time, you are guaranteed that officials and road closures will remain in place. But even if you run slower, you can still complete the race – but at your own risk and by following normal traffic rules. If you finish before 16:00 (6 hours after the start), you will receive a medal and your time will be recorded in the results list.
